Lunna Lavender
Hi! I'm Mita, the owner of Lunna Lavender, a handmade journal shop based in Bogor, Indonesia. Lunna Lavender focus at making journal with manual binding technique with vintage or medieval theme. I have a purpose to make all generations, expecially the young one to have interest in traditional writing especially in this digitalization era.  Honestly, Lunna Lavender started unexpectedly. In 2020 when covid strikes, people rarely going outside and I almost spent all of my time at home after graduating from university. I want to drawing in my free time, but didn't satisfy with the design of sketchbooks in the market. I love to learn and making new things, so I started to make my own sketchbook that looks different than what my local market offered to me. I learned how to binding a book by using basic sketch paper and thick kraft paper as the cover. It's a mess at first (of course), but eventually I did make it. I post the picture of my handmade sketchbook in my social media, and my friend requested me to make one for her too. I think, maybe this is an opportunity to make an income or maybe if I can survive the market, to start a small business, since in that moment I also still searching for a job. And voila! Lunna Lavender is still operating until now because you can read this 'about us' page hehehe. I still manage this shop on my own. But I know that Lunna Lavender can't make this far without helps and supports from my friends and also from my sweet customers. I focus at making journals with leather cover but also still exploring with another medium too. At the moment, I attend conventions locally and also concentrating on developing new products besides journals. Hope you give it lots of love too!
